How to cook 'traditional curd rice'

Wash the rice and soak for about 30 mins

Add salt and let it cook... Should be a bit overcooked

Beat the curd until it's smoooth.. Better to use fresh curd so it's not really sour!!

Let the rice cool down and add beaten curd.. After mixing curd rice if it tastes sour, u can add some milk..

Now add cumin seed powder nd salt as per requirement

Heat 1 tablespoon oil (can take any)..

Add 1 tbsp urad dal (split Black lentil) roast until turns golden brown then add 1 tsp mustard seeds let it crackle and den add 2 slit green chillies.. Turn the heat off

Add the mixture to the rice and stir also add finely chopped coriander for garnishing.. Serve chilled..
